The RMS Queen Mary is an interesting paranormal site to study. Listed as one of the top ten most haunted sites in the US, it is intriguing to see such a quintessentially British artifact inhabiting a site in California. But, of course, being a trans-Atlantic vessel, she has always been a daughter of two worlds and I suppose it is fitting that a ship born in the UK should end her days in the US.
For those who are not aware of the history, the Queen Mary was one of two cruise ships (the other being the RMS Queen Elizabeth) built by Cunard and launched in 1934 to make trans-Atlantic crossings. She did this with style and elegance for several years, with a brief spell painted gray for military service as a troop carrier in WWII (renamed the Grey Ghost), before finally being retired in 1967. Another ship (the QM II) took over the name in 2004 when that ship replaced the now retired QE II (launched in 1969) as flagship of the Cunard fleet.
After retirement, the Queen Mary was converted into a hotel and tourist attraction in Long Beach, California where it is still permanently moored and has played host to holidaymakers, museums, the Walt Disney Corporation (who owned it in the 80’s)* and even a Roller Derby team (Long Beach Derby Gals who used it as a venue but now seem to have moved elsewhere).
And, if the rumors are to be believed, ghosts…
The pop/disco group the Bee Gees were among the most popular music groups in recent musical history.
Formed in 1958 by Manchester natives Barry, Maurice and Robin Gibb, the group would not only eventually be inducted into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 but also are one of the best-selling groups in history, surpassed only by such superstars as Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Paul McCartney and McCartney’s former band, The Beatles.
Along the way, they endured not only huge successes but also drama and tragedy as well, with many line-up changes, substance issues and eventually, illnesses that would lead to the deaths of both Maurice and Robin Gibb, leaving Barry the last remaining Bee Gee alive today.
The Daily Star recently published an article that claims that both Barry Gibb and his wife have seen the spirits of two his former bandmates and family members since their deaths…
Uploaded on August, 2nd, 2016 by the ‘Crazy Worldvdos’ channel, it has quickly reached nearly one-hundred and eighty views and has begun to circulate around the usual paranormal news and discussion sites on the internet.
In the video, a ghostly shape can be seen rising from the hospital bed and moving towards a doorway at the top of the screen as purportedly caught by the CCTV cameras at the hospital.
Welcome to News From the Spirit World’s True life Paranormal Stories, sent to us by NFSW readers from around the world, and the first one is an interesting tale that although strange, scary and downright creepy, might have a logical solution.
If you have a similar story or any paranormal experience, photos, audio or video you would like to share with us, you can always submit it to the NFSW Facebook Page or the NFSW Reddit Sub and it could end up being published here on the main site.
We surely got a great tale to start with from “F” on our Reddit page…what would you do if it were late at night, you were alone in your bed when it felt like something might have crawled into your bed with you?
Then you try to scream, but nothing comes out…
This one will be short and sweet because honestly this is just a horrible example of a possible paranormal capture.
First of all the video quality is atrocious and secondly there are so many explanations for this slight anomaly in the video that it boggles the mind that anyone buys this stuff. It could be a bug close to the camera, it could be a reflection from something (a crib mobile?) it could be Elvis returned from the dead to make a new album.
Even most of the comments posted on the You Tube link below say this is either fake or even worse most can’t even spot the ‘ghost’ content in the video at all.
But here it is in all of its…ahem…glory:
E-Bay is a modern marvel in virtual shopping and a great place to sell off that unwanted junk in your attic.
However whenever we allow the population of the world to log in and put virtually anything up for sale, you will get the few weird items here and there.
One such item is a purported ‘rock’ from the infamous Amityville Horror House, which can be yours right now for about two hundred dollars with shipping…
The act of Human beings trying to contact the dead on the other side has become a common part of paranormal research over the years.
Whether it be raps on a wall or table, direct communication through a psychic or automatic writing, spirit communication really collided with the general public since the talking board or ‘Ouija’ board was created in the late 19th century.
Since then many a horrifying tale, both fiction and non, has started with a group of friends using the tool to communicate with the great beyond.
The slow and painful act of waiting for the ghost to actually spell out his message seemed a bit out of date however to an enterprising trio who have brought ‘Emoji’ to the Ouija mojo.
It started with a vision of using little graphical pictures on the board for the spirits to communicate with the living.
Ever wanted to know if the ghost in your house was in love, happy, sad, was trying to tell you about an old Indian burial ground or was in a murderous rage in hardly no time and via a cute ghost cartoon your kids will adore?
Your prayers may have been answered.
Episode six of The Kiwi Psychic & the Midwest Ghost is out and this time me and Debbie talk about Astral Travel.
There is also the usual questions and dream interpretation segments as well as discussion on a few recent posts here at NFSW.
Additionally, there is a competition for a free psychic reading by Debbie.

Episode Five of The Kiwi Psychic and the Midwest Ghost, which mostly centers around the ghostly visitor that invaded the show during the end of recording episode four.
So was Donald a real ghost or just our imaginations playing tricks? Debbie reveals some interesting information on ‘Donald’ from a fan and also the strange audio phenomena that took place during episode four is discussed with audio samples.
Episode three is up and this time me and co-host Debbie Black discuss different types of spirits, go over some of the more popular ghost related posts here at NFSW.com and as always answer some listener questions about dreams and the paranormal.
Also if you have an idea for the show, think your a potential guest, have a question to ask or dream to be interpreted or just plain want to chat, you can reach me or Debbie at the public emails below:
I love dogs, they are amazing creatures that at certain times of my life have been among my best friends.
Dogs have also been trained to do wonderful tasks such as leading the blind, sniffing out bombs and drugs and watching out for our dwellings while we are away, protecting the property from intruders.
But what about a dog who is being trained to sniff out ghosts and other paranormal activity?
Holly Goddard believes it is possible and thinks her dog Glimmer might be the world’s first ghost seeking pooch.
Episode two of The Kiwi Psychic and the Midwest Ghost is out (and has been out, I am slightly behind), and this time we had a great conversation with Patrick Keller of the blog The Big Seance and an investigator with The Missouri Spirit Seekers.
We talked about EVP work, investigations, the Adopt-A-Grave movement and a number of other subjects.

The paranormal investigation craze has been around for awhile now, and it shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
From Ghost Hunters to ghost hunting smart phone apps, the world seems to have gone crazy for ghosts.
So it should come as no surprise that products have risen out of the popularity of the genre like a ghost from a grave.
What is shocking is that a ghost investigation board game could cause players to feel actual psychological symptoms.
Healthy debate on the question of whether ghosts really exist or not has been going on forever. Skeptics and believers alike have taken sides many times before on this matter, both in public and private.
To make real progress on any subject matter that has as much data and points of view as ghosts and the paranormal in general, the debate itself should follow a regimen of ground rules so healthy debate does not degenerate into something non productive.
Such as stabbing a man in the chest with a pair of Barber’s scissors.
A primary school in Bungoma County, Kenya was closed late last month after multiple girls between the ages of seven and twelve began to exhibit strange behavior such as fainting, seizures, tics and other involuntary movements.
A forty-nine year old man from Detroit stole the corpse of his recently deceased ninety-three year old father with the intention of bringing his father back to life.
The reasons behind this rise may not be shocking, but some the results might surprise some people, especially those skeptical of the paranormal.
Certainly one of the biggest ‘signs’ of a ghost or haunting are strange noises in the middle of the night. Hearing bumps and knocks during usual sleeping hours is classic paranormal fare, and it is one of those factors that can really divide opinion about the existence of ghosts.
Mostly because so many other things can cause creepy noises that make the mind jump over any rational thoughts and believe their home is haunted.
We have told this tale in this space before, but now another case out of the Middle East, where two teenage lovers were mistaken for a pair of unruly spirits.
A woman in China’s Anhui Province had an experience more scary then most hauntings when she became trapped between a building and a wall.
The woman’s plight was prolonged by the fact that her cries for help were thought to be from a ghost.
One of my obsessions is reading non-fiction material on paranormal and spiritual topics, especially those about spirit communication, specifically. When each book is done, I take pride and conduct a shelving ceremony (I’m usually the only one who attends). One of the greatest problems one could have (in my opinion) is to have to buy a new bookshelf to make room for more books. I own every book I’ve read and haven’t caved into the e-book craze yet. It will be a while… and it gets expensive… but I think the loss of physical books is a very sad thing. Look at me being off topic already.
